A Mutual Fund Sales Agent is a Party that sells Mutual Fund Securities based on a cooperation contract with the Investment Manager that is managing the Mutual Fund.
Before carrying out sales of Mutual Funds, a Mutual Fund Sales Agent, with the exception of Securities Firm, must be registered as a Mutual Fund Sales Agent at OJK.
A Mutual Fund Sales Agent can only sell Mutual Fund Securities through employees that are authorized as Securities Firm Representative or Representative of Mutual Fund Sales Agent and the employees must obtain specific appointment by the Mutual Fund Sales Agent to act for and on behalf of the Mutual Fund Sales Agent.
